A Waltz Tech Helper's role is to support our mission by helping our members unlock the full potential of their technology. On a daily basis, Tech Helper’s solve tech problems, teach new tech skills, and empower members with the confidence to master their devices. Whether Tech Helpers are showing someone how to recognize fraudulent emails, troubleshooting a Wi-Fi issue, or setting up a password manager, their primary goal will always be the same: Provide an unparalleled tech help experience.

Employment Type: This position offers flexibility in employment type, allowing Tech Helpers to choose between full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time (20 hours per week) work schedules.
Work Location: The role offers a hybrid in-office and remote setup for New York-based employees, depending on work experience. For out-of-state employees, including those outside of New York, the position is fully remote.
Travel: While the job is primarily remote, there is minimal travel involved. Tech Helpers may be required to attend one or two in-person functions annually, such as team meetings, training sessions, or company events. Rest assured; all necessary travel expenses will be covered by Waltz.
Training and Development: Training and development are integral to success at Waltz. All Tech Helpers will undergo comprehensive onboarding that includes training on our systems, tools, and customer service standards, ensuring that Tech Helpers are well-equipped to provide top-notch assistance to our members. Continuous learning is a key part of our culture, so Tech Helpers also have access to our curated curriculum, regular training sessions, and a supportive community of fellow Tech Helpers to share knowledge and best practices.
Compensation: The starting compensation for this role is $30-$35 per hour, with opportunities for increases based on performance and tenure.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong experience working with a variety of technology, including different devices, software, and systems.
- Comfortable explaining tech concepts to beginners and troubleshooting a wide range of technological problems.
- Experience in teaching, hospitality, or service roles.
- Experience working with older adults is highly preferred.
- Ability to wear multiple hats: teacher, mentor, friend, techie, and everything in between.
